Rise of the Rōnin Soundtrack

Fri March 22nd

Milan Records releases RISE OF THE RŌNIN (ORIGINAL GAME SOUNDTRACK) with music by award-winning composer INON ZUR. Available everywhere now, the album features an original score written by Zur for the new video game set in Japan’s Edo period. Zur drew inspiration for the score from the game’s 19th century setting, combining Japanese instruments and soloists with a more traditional orchestra to infuse the music with a sound authentic to the game’s storyline. Developed by Koei Tecmo’s Team Ninja and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, Rise of the Rōnin debuts today and is available for the PlayStation®5 console.

Of the soundtrack, INON ZUR says, “To reflect the game’s unique world, story and gameplay, I drew upon the musical influences of the period, recording authentic Japanese instrumentation with soloists and percussion players like The Isaku Kageyama Taiko Group and blending with the European symphonic tradition recorded at Abbey Road Studios to represent the influx of western influence, whilst embodying a respectful approach to the traditional Japanese instrumentation and musical legacy of the period.”

Embark on an epic journey across war-torn 19th-century Japan in this combat-focused open-world action RPG from Team NINJA, the veteran studio behind Nioh and NINJA GAIDEN.
